Intel Awards Suppliers

SANTA CLARA, Calif. Intel Corporation recognized 44 companies with its preferred quality supplier (PQS) award, acknowledging quality and performance in 2006. Winners celebrated at a ceremony in Burlingame, Calif., this week. The awards are part of Intel's supplier continuous quality improvement (SCQI) process.
Suppliers are qualified on performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technological, and responsiveness criteria. Winners in the SMT space include:Catac Electronic (Zhong Shan) Co., Ltd., PCB supplier;Daifuku Co. Ltd., supplier of automated material-handling systems;DEK International, for printing equipment;Delta Design, a test handler and burn-in equipment supplier;Delta Electronics, a computer-system component supplier;Dow Corning Corporation, in electronics adhesives;Enplas Semiconductor Peripheral Corporation, supplier of burn-in sockets;Henkel Technologies, for die-attach adhesives and underfill materials;KES Systems & Service (1993) Pte Ltd. supplies burn-in board, test interface units, and tooling maintenance;Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board Corporation, in substrates and PCBs;Nitto Denko Corporation, a polymer materials supplier;NTK, division of NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd. supplies high-density interconnect substrates;Tektronix Inc. supplies test-and-measurement equipment;Tyco Electronics supplies interconnects, microprocessor sockets, and passive components.
