Filter Replaces Multilayers for RF/Microwave
January 22, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. International Manufacturing Services, Inc. (IMS), released the IMF-2345, a member of the IMF series of planar low-pass filters for lower C-band operation (4 6 GHz).
In a ruggedized package, the device features low insertion loss, high performance consistency from part-to-part, and good rejection, according to IMS. The seven-section filter replaces multi-layer or commodity-level devices for harmonic suppression in radio frequency (RF), microwave, and communications systems.
The device offers a 15-W input power rating with 100°C baseplate temperature. It measures 0.55 × 0.12 × 0.025" and is constructed of thick alumina.
