Valor Software Available to Beijing University
December 12, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
YAVNE, Israel Valor Computerized Systems and the Industrial Training Center of TsingHua University in Beijing signed a cooperative agreement to supply software for training students in simulation and optimization of electronics manufacturing processes.
Under terms of the agreement, Valor will provide the university's SMT laboratory with software for various classes, including elective and graduate courses, vocational training, and technological training courses. Valor also will help prepare and collect materials for education, hold joint seminars with the university, and collaborate on technological and R&D achievements. The university's SMT laboratory trains technical specialists and promotes advanced electronic manufacturing to enhance the competitiveness of China's electronic manufacturing industry.
The cooperation eventually will benefit the Chinese SMT industry by accelerating innovation in industrial technologies through greater technological education, said Fu Shuigen, director, Industrial Training Center, TsingHua University. Use of software for product design, assembly, and production is dominant in Europe and the U.S., noted KH Ong, president of Valor Far East, adding that the trend is picking up in China and the rest of Asia.
