Design Software Revision to Launch at Z-DAC
October 18, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MUNICH, Germany and WESTFORD, Mass. Zuken's version 9.0 of PCB and packaging design suite CR-5000 includes the integrated high-speed design and analysis environment Lightning. It will launch at Z-DAC '06, the European Annual Customer-to-Customer Technology Conference, October 24 26, 2006, in Ulm, Germany.
The company noted a focus on adoption of high-speed technologies, cross-tool integration, and ease-of-use for the updated PCB design tool. Advances in system-to-board-level design, analysis, and verification complement enhancements in high-speed capabilities and harmonization of constraints. According to the company, topology constraints between the software's board design tool and the Lightning addition are unified.
Functionality for high-density FPGA design, gigabit data rates, and differential signals also comes with version 9.0. Options such as complex via modeling account for inductance, resistance, and capacitance, with automatic extraction from a layout. The Lightning feature is said to further auto-interactive routing technique technology, adding more intelligence for busses and differential pairs, and obstacle avoidance.
Simulation kits, designed and documented to correspond with application notes and standards, will be available for download.
