AOI System Suits High-volume Production
April 11, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. — The M1 automated optical inspection (AOI) system from YESTech features a small footprint and board handling system that adapts quickly to pre- or post-reflow inspection and various rework and data tracking scenarios.
Based on proprietary machine vision software, the M1 provides inspection algorithms to identify visible component, lead, and solder defects. The advanced 3-megapixel thin camera and fusion lighting technologies reportedly enable defect coverage and low false call rates to reduce costs, and improve quality and throughput. The flexible system was designed specifically for the high-volume Asian manufacturing market. For a detailed list of specifications on the M1, please visit www.yestechinc.com/YTV-M1_DS.pdf.
