VJ Electronix Displays X-ray System at Productronica
November 8, 2005 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
SHIRLEY, Mass. — VJ Electronix will display the X130D X-ray inspection system at the company's booth (A1.339) at Productronica, November 15–18, 2005, at the New Munich Trade Fair Center in Munich, Germany.
The X130D, a manufacturing process and failure analysis (F/A) X-ray inspection system with a digital detector, is said to provide a clearer picture for high-resolution, small component and circuit board inspection. The system is part of the VJE F/A series, which features four standard models: 90, 130, 130L and 160L. It is built around the choice of X-ray sources from 90 to 160 kV and two cabinet sizes, accommodating board handling from 10 × 12" to 18 × 16". The series provides testing for a range of inspection needs from process control to failure analysis. System applications include process and failure analysis of semiconductor components and assembled PCBs to automotive and aerospace industrial parts. The X130D also features an advanced image processor and a full library of measurement and analysis tools. VJ Electronix's proprietary software is included to analyze and view X-ray images.
The company will also showcase the Series 1550 fully automated, X-ray inspection system at the show. Part of the VJE 15XX Series, the 1550 features large-board X-ray inspection with automated motion control, measurement and analysis. Other features include a solid-state detector-based inspection for lead-free assembly; an image intensifier and CMOS-based, high-resolution detectors; complete programmability with integrated motion control and image measurement analysis; and program setup using 1-2-GO Interface. The X1550 gives users a 130-kV X-ray source with a continuously variable field of view.
