SMTA's Boston Chapter Schedules September Meeting

FRANKLIN, Mass. — The SMTA Boston Chapter has scheduled its monthly meeting for Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Speedline Technologies in Franklin, Mass. Topics include lead-free solder paste printing process accuracy requirements and an SMT stencil printer and dispenser manufacturing overview. Srinivasa Aravamudhan of Speedline will lead a discussion on lead-free printing offsets and Jim Rennick will present on building printers/dispensers. The meeting will also include group tours of the Speedline facility, including the process lab, the SMT Accela printer and the manufacturing floor.
Aravamudhan is an advanced process development engineer at Speedline. He is currently involved in various research projects providing process-engineering solutions. Rennick, director of operations at Speedline, previously managed the manufacturing of Ion Implantation Equipment for Axcelis Technologies. Rennick also oversees offshore manufacturing of Speedline's printers in Suzhou, China.
SMTA member sign-in is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., and the meeting is slated to begin thereafter. Dinner is provided. Please RSVP to Mike Sivigny by Friday, September 16, 2005.
