Test Points Offer Loop Design to Connect Test Probes
August 8, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
DENVILLE, N.J. — Components Corp.'s 100% RoHS-compliant TP-107 Series low-profile, surface mount PCB test points easily, quickly and accurately identify faults via a forming process. This process consists of forming the flat wire design in a spiral wrap at the mounting base, doubling the mounting base's surface area to enable a rugged connection when adhered to the solder pad. Its singular loop design provides a positive and secure location for miniature spring-loaded clips, probes and hooks. Offering a low, 2.29-mm profile, electrical specifications include a 2-A current rating and a -55° to 125°C operating temperature range. The parts feature a 100% matte tin (0.0001 min.) over nickel (0.0001) finish, and are manufactured using 0.015 x 0.040" phosphor bronze, spring-tempered flat wire alloy. Designed for automatic insertion by pick-and-place equipment and reflow soldering, they are supplied on 12-mm-wide, 4-mm-pitch conductive polycarbonate tape that meets ANSI/EIA-481 standards.
