IPC SMEMA Listserv Facilitates Networking
June 20, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries introduced the IPC SMEMA Executive Listserv, offering Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturers Association members an e-mail forum for global networking. The forum allows members to share information, opinions and solutions to common challenges.
"I believe the Listserv will prove to be an excellent tool for executives of the SMEMA industry," says Gerhard Meese, executive vice president of Dover Technologies and chairman of the IPC SMEMA Management Council Steering Committee. "One of the best features...is when a technical question gets posed, there are often many responses and perspectives given to each question," adds Meese. When participants register for the forum, they will be added to the subscriber list and given the group e-mail address. Participants then can ask their own questions and respond to others. Users also can exchange industry news, such as economic forecasts and company information. Each member of the group receives all e-mails, which IPC monitors to ensure security. To participate in the IPC SMEMA Executive Listserv, contact Susan Filz at (847) 597-2884, or via e-mail at susanfilz@ipc.org.
