OK International Names Individual to Head Lead-free Initiatives
June 3, 2005 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
MENLO PARK, Calif. — OK International announces that Paul Brackell is their new global product manager for conduction soldering and array package rework. Having already initiated a worldwide program aimed at supporting conduction and convection soldering and rework equipment users as they make their final transition to lead-free production, Brackell heads an international team that consists of two market development managers, a product support manager for conduction and convection soldering products and an application engineering specialist.
"The 2006 deadline for lead-free production has led the market to re-evaluate its production processes and capabilities," states Brackell. "From a product perspective, our SmartHeat soldering technology delivers the thermal performance customers need for lead-free, right now, and we are also in the process of launching new products targeting lead-free rework."
"I am pleased to welcome Paul to the company and have every confidence that his skills and extensive industry experience will help OK International to further strengthen its position as a market leader in equipment for the electronics assembly workbench," comments Howard Rupprecht, OK's vice president of marketing. "Paul brings with him a wealth of knowledge on electronic interconnection technology and strong sales and marketing management skills. He is the ideal candidate to head the product team. I'm confident that under his leadership, the group will continue to develop and introduce innovative hand soldering and array rework solutions."
