Bliss Industries Expands with New VP of Sales & Marketing

Milpitas, Calif.—Bliss Industries announces that the search for a VP of sales & marketing has been completed. Samuel Sher has accepted the position and will start in mid-November 2004.
Sher brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing management in many different markets. In his new role, he will be charged with executing the company's growth and diversification plans. He holds an M.B.A. from Adelphi University and a B.S. from State University of N.Y.
Most recently, Sher held the position of sales and marketing consultant to technology-based companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to the consulting business, he worked at Applied Materials as a senior director of marketing, as well as CMO for Synexis Common Platform Products Business Group. Prior to those positions, he worked at Thomson Industries in Port Washington, N.Y. as a senior director of corporate marketing and online services. Before that, he worked at Reading, Pa.-based DSM Engineering Plastic Products as director of marketing & business development. Prior to that, he worked at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Division in Wayne, N.J. as manager of marketing & communications. He has also been awarded four patents during his career.
