Humiseal VP Waryold Retires After 44 Years
September 20, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Pittsburgh — HumiSeal announces that John Waryold, after 44 years of exceptional contribution, retired on August 31, 2004.
Waryold began his career in 1960 in the lab and progressed in responsibility through lab management, technical service, sales and most recently served as the vice president and general manager for 20 years. His significant accomplishments include his invention of HumiSeal's flagship product, 1B31, and several other products that have become industry standards. He authored several papers, as well as the chapter on conformal coating in the Printed Circuit Handbook. Waryold was active in IPC and was chairman of the Conformal Coatings Committee that recently completed the extensive IPC CC-830 Standard, which resulted in his receiving the IPC President's Award in 2000.
Waryold's vision led to the globalization of HumiSeal many years before globalization became fashionable by establishing distributors and licensees in strategic areas around the world. He also differentiated HumiSeal by leading the development of "one-stop shopping" for board assemblies by developing and offering all the popular chemistries and nearly every imaginable accessory for protection of PWBs.
Through Waryold's leadership, HumiSeal achieved the highest level of brand recognition, evidenced by many in the industry commonly referring to the application of conformal coatings as "HumiSealing" the board.
While Waryold will wind down his day-to-day involvement, he will continue to contribute by staying active as an exclusive HumiSeal consultant.
HumiSeal manufactures and distributes protective conformal coatings for use on PCBs, assemblies and electronic components for marine, aerospace, military and consumer applications. For more information, visit www.humiseal.com.
