DEK to Showcase Offerings at ATE
September 10, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Flemington, N.J. — When DEK arrives in Chicago later this month for the annual Assembly Technology Expo, electronics assembly professionals will see many firsts.
The company will debut Europa, its latest flagship machine for advanced SMT pre-placement. DEK is also participating in the EASi line with a total pre-placement process, which uses the company's VectorGuard stencil system in combination with its Horizon screen printing platform.
Making its first appearance in the U.S. market, Europa features a cycle time and total process Cpk 2.0 at ± 20 µm. Exclusive to the DEK Micron class platforms, Europa features the DEK Instinctiv user interface, with links to the company's Web-based Interactiv support services. The system is also host to a new scalable control system that uses advanced Control Area Network Technology, which reportedly results in increased reliability of dramatically reduced wiring. In another first, DEK will demonstrate its expertise in the complete pre-placement process by combining the company's new VectorGuard frameless stencil system with its market-leading Horizon 01 platform on the EASi line.
ATExpo/SMTA International will take place from September 28 through 30, 2004, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. Visitors to the show can view the new DEK Europa and demonstrations of VectorGuard at the DEK booth, #5830. The company's VectorGuard stencil system and its Horizon 01 screen printer can be seen in action on the EASi line, located in the Electronics Assembly Pavilion.
