DEK Announces First VectorGuard Licensee
August 3, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Flemington, N.J. and Munich, Germany — DEK has licensed its VectorGuard stencil technology to Christian Koenen GmbH, which will provide DEK customers with a second source for VectorGuard stencils and allow Christian Koenen to increase its offering in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The two companies signed the supply and licensing agreement in June at SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2004 in Nuremberg. This allows Christian Koenen to manufacture VectorGuard stencils from foil blanks supplied by DEK, and to supply its customers with VectorGuard frames.
The VectorGuard stencil system was introduced in 2003, and enhances user friendliness, handling, storage and turnaround time for users of frame-mount stencils. The extruded aluminum safety edges and plastic corner pieces of each stencil can be removed for recycling, making VectorGuard an environmentally friendly solution. They also can be mounted and dismounted from the new VectorGuard frame without using special equipment.
DEK is a global provider of advanced pre-placement manufacturing solutions and innovative deposition technologies for a wide range of electronic materials. For more information, visit www.dek.com.
