AVX Finalizes Year-End Results; Recognized for Work in Delivering RosettaNet Strategy

Myrtle Beach, S.C. — AVX Corp. has filed its Annual Report on Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Final year-end results are included in the Annual Report. Net loss for the quarter and full fiscal year ended March 31, 2004, was reduced by $1.7 million, or 1 cent per share, when compared to the preliminary results previously reported by the company. Net loss for the fiscal year was $107.6 million, or 62 cents per share.
In other AVX news, the InfoComm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore has awarded AVX for pioneering work in the new RosettaNet processes and standards. AVX began the project in early 2003, and has since implemented the global strategy with four trading partners, including Arrow Asia in February 2004.
