Utica, N.Y.— Indium Corp.'s Rich Brooks has been named president of the Dallas, Texas SMTA chapter for 2004.
Brooks has outlined the short-term activities at the Dallas SMTA chapter to include:
- March 23: "Component Concerns in Pb-free Assembly" by James Huckabee (TI)
- April 20: "Manufacturing and Reliability of Pb-free and Mixed System Assemblies in Avionics Environments" by Hector Pallavicini (Raytheon)
- June 10: Dallas SMTA Vendor Day (several technical presentations along with a table top show)
Brooks serves as technical manager, global accounts at the Indium Corp. His duties include global technical support for the companyÂ¹s solder products particularly emphasizing Pb-free soldering. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, with BS degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering.
