StockerYale Appoints New Board Member

Salem, N.H. — StockerYale Inc., has appointed Patrick J. Zilvitis to its Board of Directors.
Zilvitis currently is chief information officer on a consulting basis at Segway LLC, in Manchester, N.H. He was previously chief information officer and corporate vice president for The Gillette Co.
Zilvitis began his career with IBM in Cleveland, Ohio in 1966 and performed in a variety of sales, marketing, product and general management positions, managing IBM's personal computer channel when he resigned in 1983 to serve as vice president of marketing for Perkin-Elmer. In 1985, Zilvitis joined Martin Marietta Corp., where he served as president and general manager of their Data Systems Co., a $450 million subsidiary that provided internal information technology services to Martin Marietta and sold timesharing, packaged software and integration services. Zilvitis joined Digital Equipment Corp. in 1987, where he organized and managed their global Consulting Services Organization after which he joined The Gillette Co.
Zilvitis currently serves on the Board of Directors for ANSYS Inc., a publicly traded engineering software company and is a Benchmark Practioner with Benchmarking Partners in Cambridge, Mass. He has been involved with The Boston Management Consortium Board of Directors, Information Technology Advisory Board at Timex Corp., the Information Management Curriculum Advisory Board at Babson College, the Advisory Council to the MS/MIS Program at Boston University's School of Management and has lectured at the MIT Sloan School. Zilvitis has also served on the Tivoli and Lotus Boards of Advisors, served on the Board of Directors at International Integration Inc. (i-Cube), and has been in an advisory and consulting capacity at several start-up and existing enterprises.
