September 24, 2003 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Pittsburgh — Pinnacle Electronics has been selected as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in the greater Pittsburgh region.
The Pittsburgh Business Times, in its seventh annual "Pittsburgh 100" competition, ranked Pinnacle Electronics as the second fastest growing company among all companies in the manufacturing sector.
Pinnacle Electronics posted a 47 percent revenue gain for the three-year period from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, Pinnacle's number of employees grew 19 percent during the same period. The company's exceptional growth has earned several recent accolades, most notably the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The company also achieved a significant improvement in its ranking in Electronic Business' annual report of the Top 100 Electronic Contract Manufacturers in the world.
This is the second year in a row that Pinnacle Electronics has been honored with the Pittsburgh 100 award and the company moved up significantly within the manufacturing sector, from a number 13 ranking to number two. Only one other company in this sector had comparable year-over-year growth. Rankings for the Pittsburgh 100 are determined by percentage growth in revenue for the past three years among privately owned companies.
