Honeywell Electronic Materials Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Sunnyvale, Calif. — The Electronic Materials business of Honeywell International Inc. announces that Saket Chadda, Ph.D., will join the HEM Leadership Team as chief technology officer (CTO) leading research and development efforts.
Chadda will provide strategic direction for Honeywell Electronic Materials' technology function and will lead its STAR (Semiconductor Technology and Research) Centers of Excellence. He comes to Honeywell from Speedfam-IPEC Inc., where he spent three years as vice president and chief technology officer. In this role, Chadda managed strategic research, process development, applications, intellectual property and technical alliances.
Prior to joining Speedfam-IPEC, Chadda served in a variety of R&D leadership roles at Atmel Corp., Ontrak Systems and Philips Semiconductors. Chadda is an industry veteran and brings 15 years of experience in the areas of plasma etch, wet etch, chemical mechanical planarization, thin films, defect density and module integration.
Chadda holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of New Mexico as well as a BS degree in chemical engineering from the Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University.
