SMTA, Asymtek Partner at First Inaugural Meeting of SMTA, Costa Rica

Carlsbad, Calif. — The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) recently opened a new chapter in Costa Rica, and held its first chapter meeting that included a technical conference on August 13.
Held at the Costa Rica Investment Board (CINDE) in La Uruca San Jose, the conference featured Alan Lewis, Asymtek's director of applications engineering, as the speaker. Lewis presented the latest in automated dispensing technology for board-level electronics assembly and packaging.
Costa Rica is among the top leading exporters of high-tech products, including electronic components, medical devices, specialized services, and many other goods and services.
