August 21, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Arlington, Va. — The National Association of Relay Manufacturers (NARM), an affiliate member of the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA), has appointed Jeffrey W. Boyce as interim executive director.
The top NARM position was vacant due to the recent death of Don Dangott, the association's long-time executive director.
Boyce, formerly president of NARM, has 23 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, marketing, finance and program management. Most recently, he was global business director of high-performance relays for Tyco Electronics in the company's Asheville, N.C., facility. Boyce holds a bachelor of science degree in physics from Michigan Technological University, and an MBA from Ashland University.
NARM conducts the annual International Relay Conference (IRC), attended by relay industry engineers and executives from around the world. For 56 years, NARM has been the trade association for the electromechanical relay and associated switch devices industry.
