Outokumpu Expands Alloy Offering for Connector Strip in Europe

Buffalo, N.Y.; Zutphen, The Netherlands; and Venice — The Connectors Business line of Outokumpu Copper Products (OCP) is expanding its alloy offering through a licensing arrangement with ILNOR S.p.A. to produce the highest quality connector strip for the connector industry under the OCP label.
This cooperation strengthens Outokumpu's commitment to provide a global supply of high-performance interconnect materials for the automotive, telecommunications, data communication and white goods industries. ILNOR S.p.A. was selected for its recent investments in high technology equipment, process capabilities and its strong commitment to be a world-class operation.
Advanced technology and continual process development are said to enable OCP and ILNOR to produce a range of bronze, brass and high-performance alloys, such as CuNiSi, C7026. Materials produced at ILNOR will continue to be audited to meet OCP's quality standards and specifications, providing customers with consistent materials and global supply.
