Gail Flower Named Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Packaging Magazine

Nashua, N.H. — Advanced Packaging magazine announces that Gail Flower (Stout) has been appointed editor-in-chief.
For the past 10 years, Advanced Packaging has delivered practical and cutting-edge editorial on using the latest technology in semiconductor packaging to more than 26,000 qualified industry professionals. The magazine is part of PennWell Corp.'s Advanced Technology Division.
Flower is currently the editor-in-chief of PennWell's leading printed circuit board assembly magazine, SMT, one she began as founding editor in 1985. She was also the first editor to serve on the Surface Mount Technology Association's (SMTA) Board of Directors. Flower created the prestigious VISION Awards program for recognizing innovative new products and services in the field. She organized the International Connection Congress in 1977; headed conferences for leading companies in the electronics field, such as IBM and Motorola; and served on various industry-wide committees. Flower has published a book chapter and numerous technical articles on technical subjects for the electronics industry. She also has headed industry panels on lead-free solder paste and the future of electronics assembly.
