HID Announces Strategic Promotions in Sales and Business Development Teams
January 9, 2003 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Irvine, Calif. -- HID has promoted Doug Wood to vice president of North American sales, and Brenton Scott to executive director of business development. Both report to Mark Scaparro, HID's executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Wood was previously executive director of North American sales. Under Wood's leadership, the installed base of HID proximity readers and cards continues to grow. By working with HID customers at all levels, Wood and his team provide customers with programs and services that help them grow their business and meet the needs of end-users.
During the five years Wood has worked for HID, he has had an integral role in building the HID brand. With more than 20 years of experience in the security industry, Wood has held positions as regional sales manager for Edicon Systems Division, director of sales for the Eastman Kodak Co., and spent 10 years working for ADT security systems.
As executive director of business development, Scott has been instrumental in developing partnerships with third party software and application providers. These partnerships provide end-users multiple options for the use of their HID credentials. In addition, HID's Corporate 1000 Program has experienced exponential growth under Scott's direction. End-users value this program as it allows them to own and control their own card formats, while insuring that there are no duplicate cards anywhere within the organization.
As interest in IT secure authentication and other smart chip applications increases, HID's credential remains the platform of choice to carry multiple applications. HID multi-technology credentials can be used throughout organizations to leverage the investment in existing systems, while providing for enhanced functionality in other areas.
