Nominations Open for Joseph F. Keithley Award

Cleveland -- Keithley Instruments Inc. announces that the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has opened nominations for the IEEE Joseph F. Keithley Award in Instrumentation and Measurement.
The award, sponsored by Keithley Instruments in memory of the company's founder, is presented for outstanding contributions in the field of electrical measurement and is administered through the Technical Field Awards Council of the IEEE Awards Board.
Criteria considered by the Evaluation Committee include significance of achievement, originality, impact on society, impact on the profession, and publications and patents relating to the achievement.
The award consists of a bronze medal, a certificate and a cash prize of $10,000. It will be presented for the first time in 2003. The IEEE will be accepting nominations until January 31, 2003.

Through its members, the IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.
