QPL Ltd. Extends Manufacturing Capabilities With New Factory In China

Fremont, Calif. -- QPL has opened a new 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility located in Guangdong, China.
This new, state-of-the-art facility, which includes a Class 5000 clean room, will enable QPL to dramatically increase its capacity for plating and finishing stamped lead frame products and double its manufacturing capability for etched lead frames and thermal packaging solutions such as heatspreaders and heatsinks. The new facility has been internally qualified by QPL and is now ready to accept production volumes and qualification lots.
The new China facility is the latest example of QPL's business strategy of investing in new technology and resources to meet customer needs in the future. The new facility will allow QPL to improve efficiency and quality while maintaining the responsiveness to customer demands that is paramount to QPL's success. In conjunction with its stamping facility, also located in China, QPL will be able to service a more complete line of lead frame products, including providing the design and manufacturing of its own stamping tools.
QPL has also expanded its U.S. presence by establishing a new headquarters in Fremont, Calif. Larry Worth, recently promoted to vice president of Sales and Marketing, has relocated to Fremont where he will head the operations.
