MVP Moves into New HeadquartersMachine Vision Products (MVP) Inc., leader in automated optical inspection (AOI) and process control solutions, opened a new 60,000 sq. ft. facility. The expanded corporate headquarters will remain in Carlsbad, Calif. and will be three times the size of the previous location.
PSI Adds New CapabilitiesProcess Sciences Inc. (PSI) added numerous capabilities to its Failure Analysis Analytical Laboratory. A Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), a Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA) and an X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) system have been added to the laboratory.
Windows NT Used for ControlSurface Mount Techniques announced that all their higher-end semi- and fully automatic screen and stencil printing machines that currently use the Windows graphical user interface for control now are equipped with the Windows NT Operating System. The Windows NT Operating System is said to be faster than older operating systems as well as being flexible and allowing more customization.
OEM Software AgreementAegis Industrial Software, developer of FUSION TransCollaborative Manufacturing (TCM) software, entered an OEM agreement with MIMOT, an international manufacturer of intelligent and flexible automatic placement systems. Under the agreement, MIMOT will offer CircuitCAM to its customers for CAD, Gerber and ASCII/Centroid data conversion for their Advantage series of pick-and-place systems and their Flexshooter chip shooter system.
