SMTA Announces Pan Pacific Symposium; Seeks Participants

MINNEAPOLIS - The Seventh Annual Pan Pacific Microelectronics Symposium, sponsored by the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA), will be held February 5 to 7, 2002, at the Westin Maui Hotel, Maui, Hawaii. Designed as an international technical interchange and a forum for extensive networking among microelectronics professionals and business leaders throughout the Pacific Basin, the Symposium will focus on the critical business markets and technologies of microelectronics packaging, interconnection and assembly.
(June 7, 2001) Redwood City, Calif. - The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) released its midyear forecast yesterday projecting an industry-wide recovery in the second half of this year that will spur growth of 20.5 percent in 2002 and 25 percent in 2003.
