Work Cell
Using a combination of conductive epoxy stamping technology and specially designed placement tools, the company is now able to assemble delicate beam-lead diodes with the industry-standard 505 assembly work cell. Conductive epoxy is deposited onto the substrate from a rotating well using small stamping tools. Reportedly, epoxy deposits down to 0.004 dots can be produced repeatedly using this method. The newest edition of L-Edit V8.2, a layout editor, is said to provide enhancements for design teams using predefined cell libraries or performing cell-library development. The new workgroup features reportedly enable designers to establish links to external cell libraries. Components can be brought from a library into a design yet maintain a link to the original library cell. Two-head Injection The Vortexx vacuum injection system for µBGA underfill applications has a two-head injection option that reportedly doubles throughput. The 718 Static Sensor and the 718A Air Ionizer Test Kit work together to control electrostatic buildup in ESD environments.
