Richard L. Appleby Joins Elcoteq as Director of Americas Operations

Elcoteq SE, global provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) for the Communications Technology Industry, announced that Richard "Rick" Appleby has joined Elcoteq as Director, Americas Operations. Formerly Vice President of North America Manufacturing for Foxconn, Appleby has over 25 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. At Elcoteq, Appleby will be responsible for all aspects of operations management including manufacturing, quality, engineering, after-sales services, and program management in the Americas. Elcoteq's manufacturing operations in the Americas are located in Monterrey and Juarez, Mexico; Manaus, Brazil; and a New Product Introduction (NPI) center in Dallas, Texas.
Appleby's expertise includes management of operations, including manufacturing of desktop, workstation, and notebook computers, original design manufacturing (ODM), New Product Introduction, and supply chain. Prior to Foxconn, Appleby had increasing levels of responsibility at Compaq Computer Corporation, Northern Telecom, and ITT Telecommunications. Appleby holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

"We recently relocated to new facilities in Juarez and Manaus, expanded our operations in Monterrey, and broadened program management capabilities to support our plants and NPI center in Dallas. Rick brings a strong ability to manage multiple sites and to meet the demanding requirements of our industry; he is a welcome addition to the GA Americas management team."
