Techcon Systems Develops First-to-Market Disposable Material Path Diaphragm Valve

techcon.JPGTechcon Systems, a product group of OK International and a leading provider of fluid dispensing systems and products, has developed a new disposable material path (DMP) diaphragm valve. The new TS5624DMP valve features a “first to market” disposable material path, enabling difficult fluids and pre-mixed two-part epoxies to be dispensed without the need for frequent cleaning. The entire wetted area can simply be replaced in a matter of seconds, while the valve stays on the production line.

The wetted parts are manufactured from black Polyethylene to prevent moisture and UV light from coming into contact with the dispense fluids. As a result, moisture sensitive fluids such as Cyanoacrylate and UV cured adhesives can be dispensed reliably and accurately.

TS5624 dispenses low to medium viscosity fluids over a wide range of shot and bead sizes, down to a fraction of a micro liter. An internal spring return makes the valves fully adaptable for use with Techcon Systems controllers. A short opening stroke provides an extremely fast and positive shut-off. The seal-less valve design offers excellent moisture sensitive resistance and the incorporated diaphragm creates a barrier between the wetted parts and the air cylinder.

The valve comes standard with a mounting bracket kit, valve air hose, luer lock fluid line, sample packet of DMP inserts and a dispensing tip selection pack. Typical applications include dispensing pre-mixed two-part epoxies and cyanoacrylate in bonding applications, and applying UV lacquer in CD/DVD spin coating applications.

Maximising Performance and Reliability of Automotive Electronics With Conformal Coatings

11/20/2019 | Phil Kinner, Electrolube
While the value of the electronic systems in a modern vehicle typically exceeds 20% of the total vehicle cost, many estimate that this value will exceed 35% within the next five years. With the increased adoption of electronic vehicles and the development of the internet of things (IoT)—which has brought us driverless cars like those being tested by Google in California and BMW on the roads of Bavaria—the future of this industry is starkly different from that of the 1970s when electronic fuel injection systems were first introduced to mainstream production.
